The BC 2209 STS's HR functions include ECG-precise measurements of your actual, average, and maximum heart rate, along with a zone alarm that tells you when you're exceeding or falling below your target heart rate. In the process, the computer keeps track of your calories burned thus far. The BC 2209 STS also includes a number of time-specific functions, including a countdown timer that's perfect for racing against the clock; a stopwatch that keeps you sharp on intervals; a display for elapsed and total riding time (the latter is only available after your ride); and a time-keeping clock.
